On September 9, 2021, BIPT decided to close the infringement procedure initiated against Proximus due to the network failure of January 7 and 8, 2021 and the related impact on the emergency services. Upon examination, BIPT finds that there is no clear indication of an infringement of the regulatory framework, and more specifically of Article 107, §1/1, paragraph 1 of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications.
