As a digital services coordinator in Belgium, the BIPT publishes the activity report on the application in Belgium of the Digital Services Act (DSA) for the year 2025, the first year following the formal institutional anchoring of the DSA framework in Belgium, in early January 2025.

This report describes a year of implementation and close cooperation between the BIPT, as coordinator and competent authority, and the other competent authorities: the Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel (the audiovisual services regulator for the French-speaking part, CSA), the Medienrat (the regulator for the German-speaking part) and the Vlaamse Regulator voor de Media (the media regulator for the Dutch-speaking part, VRM).

One of the major milestones of the past year was the designation of three trusted flaggers, three Belgian entities that will contribute to more efficient identification and handling of illegal content by online platforms.

The annual report also discusses, inter alia, the evolution of the number of complaints dealt with, specific cases of European cooperation, such as in the field of online protection of minors and the progress made in the further implementation of the Regulation at national and European level.
