On 18 December 2020, the European Commission adopted a Delegated Regulation setting single maximum Union-wide mobile and fixed voice termination rates. This Delegated Regulation entered into force on the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, i.e. on 23 April 2021.

For its part, the BIPT adopted decisions regarding fixed and mobile termination in 2017 and 2018. The adoption of the Delegated Regulation by the Commission has the effect of replacing a number of provisions of these decisions.

The sole purpose of this communication is to inform the sector of the main implications of this Delegated Regulation. It does not in any way take precedence over the applicable provisions pursuant to the Delegated Regulation, the MTR and FTR decisions or any other provision arising from the applicable regulatory framework.
