Decision of the BIPT Council of 6 May 2013 on the abolition of universal service obligations regarding the provision of public pay phones and other access points to public voice telephony services

Under Article 75 of the Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications the BIPT Council decided on 6 May 2013 to lift the universal service obligations relating to the provision of public pay phones. That decision was taken following a market analysis, which showed that those services or similar services were widely available. The draft opinion was submitted for public consultation from 26 February to 29 March 2013.
