The operators’ rights and obligations regarding international communications in the European Economic Area (hereafter “EEA”) were introduced by Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2018/1971 amending Regulation (EU) 2015/2120, and have been applicable since 15 May 2019. These rights and obligations are subject to BEREC Guidelines.

BIPT launches a consultation with specific questions in order to get input from interested parties about the effect of the “Easy Switch Royal Decree” of 6 September 2016. That Royal Decree aims to facilitate the switching of fixed operators and bundles. Deadline: until 3 September 2019 Replies should be sent electronically to consultation.sg@bipt.be with reference “CONSULT-2019-C6" as subject of the e-mail.
