BIPT has examined the price level of telecom products in a group of five countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and the United Kingdom). A total of 591 tariff plans for residential users have been compared. The purpose of this study is to verify how the price level of telecom products on the Belgian market compares to the price level of similar products in the countries that surround us. BIPT started this study in 2012 at the request of vice prime minister Johan Vande Lanotte. A first edition (with data from August 2012) was published in the spring of 2013. This document is the second edition, with data from August 2013.
