The rules concerning the examinations to be taken in order to be able to use a radio station operating on frequencies reserved for maritime and inland navigation are currently laid down in the document entitled "Examination regulations for obtaining certificates for ship station operators". This regulation needs to be recast, particularly following the latest adaptations and terminological changes made to the Royal Decree of 18 December 2009 on private radio communications and rights of use of fixed networks and trunked networks.
