Following unauthorised access to the data of numerous Orange customers, there is an increased risk of fraudulent SIM card replacement (see our dedicated page).
In order to enhance security, Orange will send you a text message if a request to transfer your number to another operator is initiated:
- If you did not initiate the request and you object to it, you must respond by sending STOP within 8 hours of receipt;
- However, if you did not initiate the request, you may ignore the message.
The number sending this test message will be 5000 (for private customers) or 5995 (for professional customers).
