In its annual report, the BIPT gives an overview of the past year.

2025 follows on directly from the major developments that began earlier, the effects of which are becoming apparent in the regulated markets.

  • In the electronic communications market, the arrival of the fourth mobile operator continues to reshape the competitive landscape, whilst the ongoing roll-out of optical fibre networks is leading operators to collaborate in certain areas.
  • In the postal sector, the BIPT continued to implement the Parcel Act, whilst undertaking a thorough assessment of its impact on working conditions and competition.
  • In the digital sector, the BIPT now plays a more central role in the national coordination of the supervision of online platforms under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

In this rapidly changing context, the BIPT has, of course, continued to carry out its specific tasks in the regulated sectors and made progress in implementing its 2024–2026 strategic plan.

An overview of that annual report is available on a dedicated website.
