D: CB + PMR446 + Amateur

CB: This is equipment used in frequencies of the collective frequency band 26,965 – 27,405 MHz that can be used without a licence since 1 January 2010.

PMR446: These are small transmitters, exempt from licence, for personal use. The effective radiated power is restricted to 500 MW.
There are two types:

  • analogue PMR446 devices operating in the 446.0 – 446.1 MHz band
  • digital PMR446 devices operating in the 446.1 – 446.2 MHz band.


All devices should be equipped with a fixed, non-removable antenna.

Amateur: 

Radio amateur equipment is used by persons experimenting in the field of transmitting and receiving radio waves.

The use of this equipment is subject to licence.

The latter is issued after having passed an official exam.
