Based on the results of the annual consumer survey conducted by BIPT, users were rather satisfied with the services and prices offered. Users found it was sometimes difficult to compare prices and services and often knew nothing of the basic rights regarding telecommunications. The evolution in the use of telecommunications services is worth noting. For example, the use of mobile Internet and some applications thanks to which it is possible to use message and telephony services over the Internet strongly increased.BIPT's tariff simulator has been well received as well as the SMS notification sent once the price cap is reached for mobile telephony.

National benchmarking of the telecommunications services rates in Belgium [Rates applied on 09 February 2015]
Publications › Communication -
07/05/2015
For the third consecutive year, BIPT publishes a national price comparison. In total, no less than 252 tariff plans of the Belgian residential market have been analysed in order to enable consumers to compare telecommunications products available on the Belgian residential market in full transparency through 20 pre-established consumer profiles. This year, the study makes it possible to consider the results with and without the effect of promotions. The services analysed are fixed telephony, (prepaid and postpaid) mobile telephony, fixed Internet and fixed triple play.
