Over-the-top (OTT) services are of great value to consumers and businesses and have an important impact in the electronic communications market. However, this impact has never been quantified. n order to identify the metrics and indicators national regulatory authorities may collect to have a better understanding of electronic communication markets, BEREC plans to organise a workshop on a harmonized OTT data collection in the end of 2020 and, consequently, to prepare a report in 2021.

The draft text partially transposes various directives, including Directive (EU) 2018/1972/EU of 11 December 2018 establishing the European Electronic Communications Code. The first deadline for revising the Code was 21 December 2025.

BIPT presents its draft strategic plan 2020-2022. A high degree of continuity was considered when drafting this document. In this way, the texts regarding the mission and the values of the organisation remained largely the same as well as the strategic axes. Only the text regarding our vision was completely revised to reflect more vividly what BIPT stands for: "A reliable and competitive communication environment for everyone".

ERGP believes that a Medium Term Strategy (MTS) is necessary in order to identify the core areas of focus for ERGP’s work between 2020 and 2022, taking into account the developments of the postal sector and the changes in consumers’ needs, in particular due to electronic substitution and e-commerce. The MTS 2020-2022 will form the basis of the annual Work Programme of ERGP, for the three years period it covers.
