As of 1 September 2024 the BIPT will be able to grant rights of use for the frequency bands covering the use of an unlimited number of links in these frequency bands. The decision concerns the granting of rights of use for frequency bands.

This decision allocates rights of use for a period of twenty years to Citymesh Integrator N.V. in the 700 MHz, 2600 MHz and 3600 MHz bands in the Belgian exclusive economic zone in the North Sea. The decision enters into force as of 1 January 2025.

BIPT is in charge of allocating user rights for radio frequencies entirely or partially used for public electronic communications services.

This decision conforms the existing rights of use of e-BO Enterprises N.V. and Telenet Group N.V. in the Belgian exclusive economic zone in the North Sea to Art. 22 of the ECA.
