Measures, such as further opening of all networks (including optical fibre), lowering the wholesale tariffs, new access conditions (e.g. “Internet only”) and an incentive to invest in the white spots should further intensify competition in these markets.

BIPT imposes fine on Lycamobile for non-compliance with the roaming rules Brussels, 4 December 2017 - On 17 October 2017 BIPT imposed a € 25,000 administrative fine upon Lycamobile for violation of the roaming rules: by compelling customers wanting to use roaming to use the more expensive tariff plan Pay As You Go, Lycamobile de facto applied a surcharge for roaming.

As of 15 June 2017 however the tariffs for roaming within the EU may not differ from the national tariffs.
