How can you know how much roaming will cost you?

When you travel abroad, in or outside the European Union, your operator has to text you some information :

-       If you are travelling outside of the European Union, or Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, the operator must provide information on the surcharge that may be applied for roaming services (calling, being called, texting and mobile Internet).

-       If you are travelling within the European Union, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein, the operator must provide information regarding a potential fair use policy, as well as regarding the surcharges that may be applied in case of non-compliance with the fair use policy.

At the same time your operator gives you a free phone number where you can obtain more information as well as information regarding the emergency services.

Note that when you are travelling within the EU, Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein, the operators must apply the domestic tariff to roaming services. You can therefore consult you national tariff plan if you want to know the tariffs that will be applied to you when you roam.
