Numbers are essential to provide telecommunications services. They are the key to providing access to those services and this both for end users and providers.
BIPT works constantly to ensure that the numbers are available in sufficient quantities to allow the proper development of the market. To ensure this, BIPT draws up numbering plans that clearly specify the intended use of specific numbers.
The Institute also carries out the numbering management itself, including allocation, reservation, cancellation, transfer and supervision of their use (monitoring policy).
